The subject matter of said bulletin went something like this....

President Bush refuses to cancel third world debt, claiming it 'interferes with US budget plans'.

Six children, aged 11 and 12, questioned by police after taking a 5yr old child from his garden, and subjecting him to torture, culminating in an attempt to strangle him using a piece of wire.

Plus your normal quota of suicide bombs, environmental disasters, humanitarian crises and economic sob stories.

Call me a pessimist, but...............

My mum asked me the other day why I wasn't saving my money for when I retire. My answer was short and to the point - There's no point. When I'm old enough to retire, there will be nothing resembling the current economic situation. I have no doubt that the world is heading towards some kind of major economic 'disaster'. We, as a people, are so reliant upon commerce and money. Everything we consider 'important' will be taken - a market economy, our perception of money equalling importance. Let's face it, Bill Gates and Grizzly Adams - who'd be the richer in terms of surviving on what grows and roams?
In all honesty, I won't be too sad to see this day arrive. All I'm concerned with is ensuring my children are with me, and therefore safe. Mass confusion will rule for a year or two, then we will come to terms with the way things are. We can start over as a race, without the poisons that are killing us today. Our children will grow up breathing clean air. They will drink clean water, they will stand in a field of natural crops and feel the acid free rain beating gently on their faces as it did on the faces of our ancestors. They won't get letters from the bank telling them they must pay money as a penalty for not earning enough. They won't wake up to the sound of countless cars and lorries rushing past. They won't get into their own car and add to the noise and smell. They won't learn from example that violence gets you what you want, and those who choose peace, suffer. They will laugh pitifully at stories of how their parents and grandparents bowed and grovelled at the feet of those whos only grace was to own more than anyone else. When this 'tragedy' happens, and we, the tired worn out remnants of the last victims of this crazed system sit quietly by a crackling open fire and thank our gods that our children were spared it all, will we pity our children, or they us?

Latest from Planet Andrew

Howdy good people,

Been to Rendlesham Forest again, the site of an alleged UFO landing in December 1980, apparently recorded, reported upon and acknowledged by both the UK and US military.
Last time I went was on a cold misty night, but this time I was in company, on a sunny warm spring day. Still got a bit creepy tho when my colleague started recalling bits of the movie 'Fire in the Sky' - Very scary stuff. If you haven't seen it, do so. Based on a true story too, so we're told.
Well, my life is, as per usual, devoid of excitement outside work. My kids are well and happy. My daughter has gone on a school trip to France for a week. I'm working in Havant, near Southampton all next week, so I'll not be around in the Religion3 yahoo chatroom. I'm sure it'll survive without me. I'm still wallowing in the glory of being added to the Rel3 website 'Faces Of Chat'. Thanks Darks for doing that!
I busted my van on Saturday morning, coming back from Windsor Park with waaaay too many signs on the back. The gearbox decided to disintegrate on the motorway. Had to get towed back to work by a recovery truck. Oh! the excitement....
Well, I'd better go now, back to bed for a few hours, then off to work until Friday night.
Be well all, and keep an eye on that light in your rearview mirror - it might NOT be a car coming up behind you...

Andrew.

Roll on Spring

Heylo people,

Been a while since I posted last time. As is always the case it would seem. I started this blog with a view to posting every couple of days, once a week at least. Best laid plans and all that.
Anyway, down to business - things have been pretty quiet at work, so not many trips out to tell you about. I paid a visit to Dorset a week or two ago, that was nice. The countryside is beautiful, so green and typically 'English' even at this time of year. Managed to stop off at my parents on the way back too, always nice to see them. They live in Gloucestershire, on the county borders with Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Oxfordshire. Quite a few of my nights out have been in Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex, as is always the case. Went down to Kent too last weekend and got my van stuck in a ditch. Took me ages to get it out, and I had the good fortune to be 'found' by a car full of young guys and girls out looking for a haunted house! So they kindly helped me get unstuck, and in return I gave them a map of the area. A small gesture, but it was all I had to offer. Hopefully they found it useful and had an 'interesting' night. Turns out I did a bit of damage to the van - tough shit if you ask me. I'm expected to drive all these places and on all these stoopid little dirt tracks. Things are bound to go 'tits up' now and then. I'm losing no sleep over it.
I'm considering embarking upon an 'Open University' course. Either Astronomy or World Religions. Can't make up my mind. I have had a deep interest in astronomy since childhood, but nowadays find religion more stimulating. Wish there was a course about astronomy and its affect on religion, or vise versa!!! Time will tell. I am determined to go for it, and will enjoy every moment I spend learning.
I'm going now. I promise to at least try to post more regularly (as if anyone actually READS this).

More mindless meandering.

Hello Earth dwellers.

Firstly may I wish you all a happy new year and hope that all you wish for yourselves bears fruit.
Thirdly, whilst smoking a cigarette and pondering the depths of thought one night recently, I found myself asking a question. Such brain activity is rare, especially bearing in mind I was smoking at the time, which in itself would have taken a sizeable chunk of my grey resources to co-ordinate. The question in question was this question......

If TV quiz shows were to be made more realistic, would the following scenario be helpful?
At the beginning of, say, 'Who wants to be a millionaire?', it is found that some of the game pieces are missing, so the host of the show yells at the younger contestants about not putting it away properly last time, and how everyone might as well just go home because the quiz show is useless now. In fact it needs to be thrown in the bin. The sensible partner of the quiz show host then suggests in a calm voice that all the missing pieces can be borrowed from the quiz show that's due on after this one. So a young contestant is dispatched to 'Family Fortunes' to borrow a dice, two player tokens, and someting to double up as a bonus card holder/dispenser. He duly returns proudly carrying the required items. The game can now begin.
Of course this idea has the benefit of 'rolling over' into the following show, and so on. Every now and then, it could be made even more realistic by the contestants having to improvise pieces from sewing kits and kitchen utensils. This would have the added advantage of creating a 'mini competition' prior to the main quiz, where the contestants compete, the loser having to spend the rest of the quiz being represented by a paper clip with elastic bands wrapped around it to bulk it up a little.

Whatcha thing folks? Will it catch on? I tried to call a few TV companies about it but it seems they have caller ID on their phones and block my incoming calls. Never mind eh....

As a new addition to my blog, i will include a 'quote of the day' every time I post, the following being the inaugural one.

"Better to be silent and considered a fool than to open your mouth and put it beyond doubt"

Wednesday...

Good day fellow people of Earth,

Nothing significant to report today - I'm on holiday from work for a week so nothing doing regards my travels. I'm off to see my parents this afternoon, right after posting this blog in fact.

Something occured to me last night...

Ever notice how the vigour with which a person promotes their religion is directly proportionate to the strength of that religions grip on said person? For instance, a liberal, middle of the road, no axe to grind christian will happily exchange views with one of another belief without feeling the need to agressively defend his own dogma. Then you have your radical, fire and brimstone, all infidels will burn in hell type, be they christian, muslim, jew, whatever. These people know the religion that forms the basis of their lives is flawed and will not stand up well to criticism or scrutiny from anyone with a clear head and an untainted eye. Liken these people if you will, to the frontline of an army, facing their foe in open fields, waiting for conflict. Behind these willing soldiers stands an army of wounded, uninspired and weak infantry, they in turn defending the Generals - a group of fraudulent cowards who have no knowledge of warfare and even less inclination to stand and fight. The frontline soldiers don't want to be regarded as the fools who were led by these cowards, so they will do what they can to prevent the opposing armies- people who want to bring the Generals to justice - from reaching their prey. They will fight bitterly, ignoring pleas to break ranks and join the march against the real enemy of the people.
Invariably, these soldiers - each of whom is proof that the line between bravery and stupidity is a thin one - are slaughtered, their beliefs dismantled in front of their very eyes. Yet still they flounder in the mud, having resorted to meaningless waffle, still hoping to justify what even they know is past justification.
One day, this 'war' will take place, and we will free the world of the morons who throw stones from behind the wall they call righteousness.
I intend to be in that army.

I return victorious!!!

Ok folks,

I just got in after my trip back into the heart of the alien infested Rendlesham Forest. I'm sure they had their big bug eyes on me during my visit, but my stealth and wit prevented them getting near enough to abduct me. I think it was stealth and wit, or it may have been that I drove the van at no less than 70mph, stopping only to grab the signs, dive back in the van and speed off. Anyway, I avoided them and that's the main thing. Those of you in the know about such subjects would instantly exclaim 'Aha!! Rendlesham Forest - The notorious scene of a well documented case of Alien/Human interaction, ie. the landing or crashing of an extra terrestrial vehicle one night in late December 1980, witnessed by personell from the nearby USAF base at Woodbridge". My work - erecting signs for events such as antique fairs, sales, and in this case, a christmas craft fair - takes me all over the country, usually late at night to avoid getting stuck in traffic (and so I can do illegal u-turns). Thursday night's trip took me right into the heart of Rendlesham Forest around 2am on a foggy still night. Suffice to say, I was nervous to say the least. I know for a fact that they like taking people at night, in foggy blair witch conditions, in remote areas. And added to this the fact that I was in THEIR forest, I gave myself a 50/50 chance of being anally probed before sunrise...

Alas, my fears were unfounded. All went without incident (as far as I recall, anyway). But I have to go back there on Sunday night to take all the signs down. Call me a pessimist, but I think my visit on Thursday night/Friday morning alerted them to me. The signs clearly state that the fair is on Sunday, and only a fool would not realise that I will be back for them Sunday night or Monday morning.

So there it is my friends. The next post I make to my blog might be as a boney fiddly abductee.
Or perhaps, worse still, I may never return from my excursion, ending up as a specimen in a school lab on Tau Ceti 3. All I can say is thankyou for reading my blog, and if I don't post on Monday - get them tinfoil hats out...

Latest From Planet Andrew

Hello folks,
Been a while since my last 'worthwhile' post, so I'll throw some more thoughts into the mix, on the off chance somebody will find it mildly interesting.

As one might have deduced from my previous posts, I'm interested in religion. I'm not a religious person in the accepted sense - I don't worship a god or any associated icon such as jesus. My interest in religion can be likened to a driver passing the scene of a bad crash. There's wreckage everywhere - people dying, injured and suffering. But it's hard not to look in, trying to imagine how it would feel. But this particular crash is different... There are people climbing INTO burning vehicles, locking the doors so as to shield themselves from the cries of passers-by. They truly want to be in there, in the burning twisted wreckage. People are yelling at them to open the doors and get out. But it's no good. These people are happy inside their world. It's a world where there is no future - they seek the security of a predetermined fate at the hands of something greater than them. Greater than them only due to their determination to be un-great.
These people are the people of organised fundamental religion - the right wing christian, the fanatical muslim, the self important arrogant jew. Please understand I don't view all people of religion in this light, but it seems the radicals of any persuasion get the power within their particular organisation. In typical politically correct fashion- I have many friends of many religious inclinations - they are people with whom I have found friendship despite faith, not because of it. Most religious people are able to interact with all at no detriment to their beliefs. But a person who climbs into the burning vehicle that is religion, and locks the doors behind him, willing to reject worldly life in return for the promise of eternal bliss, will never enjoy the fruit that is the diversity of the human being as a collective.
OK, thats enough for now - comment please. Tell me I'm wrong, but PLEASE if you do tell me I'm wrong, tell me WHY I'm wrong. For each bible/qaran quote I will kill a small cute furry animal. This is not because I fear the power of these literary masterpieces, but because I'd rather hear personal views than the stock answers of the dogmas.
Be well, be good, and learn....

New Revelations coming soon!! I found out how to add a new page to my blog.
I have so many things to say but be patient my friends - I must be careful what I tell the masses. Too much information will undoubtedly cause the collapse of society as we know it. I know that's not a bad thing right now, but it is all the security some have, and to remove the rug from beneath their feet would be unfair on the poor souls.
One piece of information I feel I can allow to roam free is this......
Bugger, I need to go.. I'll come back online later and post my first world shattering revelation. This Blog is intended to provoke thought and prompt all of us to question everything we are taught about our origins, culture, religions and society. I, as the writer of this Blog, have the freedom to air my thoughts and pose my own questions. It is your choice whether you respond to my comments, or attempt to answer the questions I put. Call me self indulgent, but I'm really not bothered about replies or feedback - this is my chance to vent and vent I shall!

Before we go into the finer points of my twisted view of the world, let me tell you about me. I'm 35, seperated, the father of 2 beautiful children for whom I would die without a second thought.
I live with my partner and her family, my kids live with their mother.
I work in traffic management, which sounds far more exotic than it is. In simple terms, I put signs up, and close roads to facilitate maintenance. Not the most intellectually testing of jobs, but it's easy on the grey matter and It earns me enough money to live and to see my kids regularly. I also get to travel all over England, Wales and Scotland which is a definite bonus considering how picturesque this country of ours is. If this website allows it, I will post pics of my travels as and when appropriate.
I have varied interests, including astronomy, religion (the study of, NOT the practicing of), and UFO research.

I find these 3 subjects often overlap. More of that later.

So now to the good bit.....

I have decided, for the purpose of this Blog, to compile a list of statements. These statements are the easiest way to give an overview of my theories and beliefs. I shall offer them in list form and in no particular order. If you expect me to give solid evidence to back up these claims, you will have a long wait - I don't claim to know everything, in fact, I have found it's better to not claim to know anything coz some smart ass will shoot you down. They are statements of my beliefs and if you feel you can change my mind on any of them, go ahead - I'm here to learn, just as we all are. OK, so this is my list......

1. The human race in its current form (Homo Sapien) is the result of genetic manipulation by extra terrestrials.

2. 'God' exists, but is passive. 'God' is not a man with a beard sat on a cloud. 'God' does not demand, expect or desire worship - to do so would suggest ego and insecurity. 'God' plays no direct part in our existence or in the world around us. If an earthquake destroys a town, killing 500 people, we should not attribute it to 'God'. Similarly, if a close friend falls ill and recovers, we should not thank 'God'. We need to take responsibility upon ourselves. 'God' is not a sofa to hide behind when we get scared or confused.

3. The bible, qaran and torah, and other religious writings are entirely the work of mankind. They may have been created as guides to good living practice but have been taken by those with aspirations of domination and changed to suit the purposes of those people. Boy, have they worked!!!!

4. Celery tastes like mud

5. Society has become the enemy of itself - we are pushed to seek personal gain without considering its effects on those with whom we share our world. I know little about politics, but it seems communism in its simplest form is the ideal way for society to thrive. Unfortunately, it depends on honesty and participation from everyone and that will never happen.
If Mr.A.grew crops, Mr.B.manufactured machinery to harvest them, Mr.C.processed them, Mr.D.used his vehicles to distribute them, etc etc., we would all eat well and contribute to this teamwork. The problem arises when Mr.B, for example, becomes aware that this chain of supply is dependent upon him. So he uses this 'power' to make personal gains from the situation and before you know it - hey presto!! we have modern society where Mr.B holidays three times a year while Mr.X, Mr.Y and Mr.Z go hungry.

OK, there you go. They'll do for now. Disagree with any of it? Agree with all of it? Tell me. Prove me wrong. I'm big enough to admit if your theories knock mine out of the sky. Unlike some, I don't live by these doctrines and will survive if they crumble.

So post your thoughts and teach me the REAL truth, I dare ya!!
